Welcome to PD Drops V4.2!

Better Drop Lookups

PD Drops -- Better Drop Lookups for CW4 consists of two libraries and a template for full featured file loaded drop list and file loaded drop combo. The current liraries and templates have common source code that operate with both the standard CW20 and ABC templates. They have the same functionality of the CW2003 versions.

PDDrop FileDrop and DropCombos may be populated after registering the PDDrops.tpl template. They are not class based but, like the class libraries, they reduce the amount of code generation. The PDDrop library currently has many more features the ABDrop library; among these are:

Binary searches for fast "fill-as-you-type" entry.
Use of the AltDown key to drop the list (standard windows behavior).
In field scrolling with the up and down arrows.
Compbo options to insert, change, or delete records.
	Space key awareness.

A demo version for CW2003 is available on CompuServe: PDDrops.zip. The Install.exe's included included in PDDrops2.zip (for CW2003) and PDDrops4.zip (For C4) are password protected.

PD Drops for CW2003 may be order as part of A Better Lookup and and Date Tools Bundle from the TopSpeed Accessories Program. Call 1-800-354-5444 or contact your international distributor. It or other components be ordered directly from ProDomus with MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. It may also be registered on Compuserve with SWREG ID 13171.

Two tutorial files are included: PDDrops.app for the CW Profession Edition and DropsStd.app for the CW Standard Edition.

Enjoy!

Version 4.1 5/17/98 Changes
* Change FAMILY attribute from Clarion to CW20.

Version 4.1 Changes

* The PDDR.TPL has been changed to work with both the ABC and Clairon template chains. The PDDR_ABC template is required for backward compatibility for those who have already converted or created applications using this template header file. If you are converting an application from C2 or the C4 Clarion, you can use the PDDR.TPL without further conversion steps.
